Common Core Standards addressed in this set:CCSS.ELA-Literacy.RL.4.1 Refer to details and examples in a text when explaining what the text says explicitly and when drawing inferences from the text.
Inference is a very touch skill for most students. It requires abstract thought in a time when concrete thought is much easier. Hopefully these 22 topics (44 separate cards) will help to shed light on the subject. These cards can be used as part of a Scoot Game, small groups, review games, partner work, test prep, individually, or as a literacy center. You may also use these as oral prompts in class to check for understanding. This is a great options if you have C.P.S. units (clickers). Student can also write their answers on notebook paper and help save on teacher printing answer sheets.
These cards are designed to be bright and colorful, but will look great in grey scale if needed. I laminated these so they can be used for years to come. They are great to hole punch and put on a key ring or store in baggies to use from year to year.
