Description

Inferencing is an important skills for all students. Without inferencing, students will have a difficult time making connections in text and in the real world. Inferencing is a skill that students often need a lot of practice with. This product was designed to help students understand how inferencing works and put their own skills to the test.

There are several different ways task cards can be used; small group, ELA centers, whole group, or individually assigned. Choose what makes sense for your classroom. An answer sheet is provided, alternatively, students can keep track of their clues on notebook paper.

A color version and blackline version are both provided. Print out whichever version you’d like to use on cardstock, laminate, and use for years to come!

Combine this with a mystery game to bring inferencing to life! Check out the mysteries below!

The Missing Mona Lisa

The Case of the Missing Muffins
