Making inferences is an important component in creative writing. By deliberately adding inferences, you enable the reader to mentally engage forming personal associations.
Inference is the act or process of deriving logical conclusions from premises known or assumed to be true.
In this mini lesson students will be subjected to various paragraphs that utilize inference. Students must pick out clues from the paragraph, associate it with past experiences, and infer what the actual outcome is.
