This inference packet contains discovery lessons. Discovery lessons require that your students learn through discovery, rather than through direct teacher input. In this case, the discovery begins as the students play three fun games. The games are followed up by a worksheet to practice the skill.
By participating in these four activities, the students will develop an understanding of what an inference is and the skills needed to make inferences. These four activities are meant to be taught in order. Each activity builds on the one before it.
After finishing these four activities, your students will know what the definition of an inference is and they will be able to put together evidence with prior knowledge to make informed decisions in a variety of situations.
Inference packet includes:
Three learning games and a worksheet with answer key.
4 Signs for the Career Game
This packet is designed for grades 3-5.
