Here is a 34 page packet full of useful inferencing cards, worksheets, and a game. These are 10 inferencing scenarios (the same scenarios are used on the cards and the worksheets). You can choose to have your students use the cards to work on verbally expressing these inferences, or you can have your students complete the worksheets to work on written expression of these inferences. You choose between using the multiple choice answer worksheets or the open-ended answer worksheets. Either way, these are 10 opportunities for your students to learn to infer information from text that is read aloud or read quietly to themselves. A game board with game pieces is included for students who need that extra motivation!
This resource would be useful for 1st, 2nd, 3rd , 4th, or 5th grade, depending on your students reading, writing, and inferencing abilities. 1st and 2nd graders would most likely need the cards read aloud to them by the teacher. This product could be used for higher grade levels for students that struggle with making inferences.
The written expression worksheets could be used for homework when you are working on simple inferences with your students.
This resource would be helpful for speech-language pathologists, regular education teachers, special education teachers, counselors, and social workers.
Included in Packet:
-10 Inferencing Cards
-10 Worksheets using the same inferencing scenarios with multiple choice answers
-10 Worksheets using the same inferencing scenarios with open-ended answers
I hope this helps your students! Enjoy and thank you for all that you do!
