Making Inferences is hard for students. In fact, it is the hardest skill to teach and for students to learn. Inference Problem Solving allows students to read a brief excerpt of information and make inferences based on schema (prior knowledge) and keywords.
Using this Inference problem-solving activity, the students feel confident in their inferring ability and have fun learning with their friends.
This is a group activity. Very few copies need to be made since it is a group activity.
The students will read the problem card then begin solving the problem by reading their different situations, descriptions, or scenarios and matching it with the right card. The students will then fill in the task card as a group.
