This Jeopardy-style game presents several ways for students to inference. The categories are
- What is it?
- Mystery Questions
Students must use the clues given to infer the answer. Some of the questions may seem like riddles, but they are using the text evidence and their background knowledge to come up with an informed answer. For example, one Jobs question might be
I’m on my feet all day, but my customers have to sit down. They watch me while I work, but it doesn’t make me nervous. I always leave them with less than they came in with.
Students must infer that the answer is a barber or hairstylist.
