Make teaching inferencing fun! The passages are written like puzzles to solve. Hints are given and students must determine what is happening using their inferencing skills. Great for engaging reluctant readers. The passages are short and concise. The questions on the rest of the page make students think about what is happening in the story, go back and highlight a part of the story that helped them, and then tell how that information was helpful. The final question on the page is a question that would make them go a step further in their thinking process. These can be used as a whole group activity or as independent and/or partner work. All pages are in the same format to help children work independently.
