This is a great activity for students who need to improve their inferencing skills. Real life photos are used to help students make inferential statements about various situations presented in photos. You have the option of making the students give a short answer, short story, or both. Targets students in the 5th-8th grades.
Print out as many copies as you need of each page (3-12) for your students. Have each one look at the picture and give a short answer (quick and easy) or have them write a short story using inferences about the picture (longer and harder), or have them do both. Then have a discussion after for students to explain how & why.
