Inferring with Beginning Sounds!
Thanks for your interest in my Beginning Inferring/ Beginning Sound Riddles. What better way to teach your beginning readers how to make inferences than by using riddles. This activity is perfect for whole group or center activities and not only focuses on beginning inferring but on beginning sounds too. This product includes 26 riddles, one for each letter of the alphabet. Each letter has three clues given for the picture. Reading clues one by one, allowing some "think time" allows students time to make an educated "guess" as to what the answer is.
Each set of three riddles, comes in both colored and black line versions to accommodate your printing wishes.Simply print these on tag board, cut them out on the solid black line, laminate for durability, and fold backwards on the dotted line to hide the answer.
Don't forget to leave a rating and feedback in my TPT store. And be sure to visit my store for more great emergent reading activities like this one!
