I created this lesson to help my students analyze how the media works to influence its audience. It includes several different media sources, including news articles, social media, and bulletin boards. The questions prompt students to critically think about the goal of the media and how they were meant to react to those examples. I recommend giving groups about 10 minutes per station to read the example of media, discuss, and answer questions. At the end, bring everyone back together for a whole group discussion.
