Teach Catholic History:
Create a booklet of 28 influential Catholics throughout U.S. history. Each person is described in brief detail which lists his or her accomplishments along with interesting life details. Students can debate who was the most influential, write “Most likely to ….” statements for these Catholics, and discover how Catholics have impacted our history and culture in a wide variety of occupations.
Lesson plans and handouts included for each lesson as well as assessment and follow-up ideas. Lessons aligned to standards and designed to be integrated into 6th-8th grade social studies or language arts classes.
