The idea of this worksheet to is have it be a 4-day activity. For my class, I use it as homework and assign a fluency passage along with it.
On Monday & Wednesday, students will only read an assigned fluency passage and track their WPM for 3 one minute readings. On Tuesday and Thursday, they will use their informational reading comprehension strategies to complete the short activities.
I created this worksheet to go along with Erin Cobb's (Lovin' Lit) interactive notebook informational strategies of: topic, topic sentence, transitional sentences, main idea, supporting details, author's purpose, writing a summary, and text structures.
To use this document, you will need to assign a grade-level fluency practice passage, which is NOT included.
