Students can compare and contrast fiction and non-fiction characters by reading short 10-20 sentences. These short stories describe the fictional characters; Superman, Santa Claus and Peter Pan, The non-fictional characters who are described include; President Obama, Martin Luther King and Ghandi. They are given four short quotes from each paragraph to either write into or cut and paste into a venn diagram.These lessons can be used as either worksheets or worksamples depending on the student level.
