PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

I created this winter themed nonfiction text practice because my students struggle with stating a claim and using TWO details to support their answer in short response questions. Included in this product is a nonfiction text "All About Snow" written at two Lexile ranges (1000-1190 range and 700-890 range) for differentiation. The text is accompanied by six multiple choice questions and two short response questions with graphic organizers to promote using a claim and two text details when answering.

Use this product as a whole group teaching tool, homework, small group activity, or as a center for students who have had experience with answering questions using claims and text details.

*Complete answer keys* are included for each page with the CCSS listed next to each question. Short response questions include an answer key of model responses. I hope you and your students enjoy this seasonal way to incorporate the standards by using this nonfiction text about snow!
