Informational text structures can be a tricky skill for students to master and students need to practice it several times. This resource is a flipbook for teaching and introducing/reviewing the nonfiction text structures.
The flipbook contains a page for each of the following:
-Text Structures – Provides an overview of the five text structures
-A page for each of the following that provides a short text example of the text structure (all with the topic of candy) and graphic organizers for the students to complete using details from the texts:
*Problem and Solution
*Cause and Effect
*Compare and Contrast

The students will cut out each piece of the flipbook (seven total pieces) and assemble it as shown in the PDF resource.
I have included two printable versions of this flipbook. Version A has all seven pieces on three pages. Each student gets three pages. The other version would allow the teacher to print the sections on different colored paper.
The possibilities for use of this resources are numerous. Here are a few ideas:
•Mini Check Ins or Assessments
