This flip book is designed as a reference tool for students as they learn the most common text structures and features used in informational/non-fiction texts. It would make a great addition to any interactive notebook, as it includes a brief explanation, signal words, and graphic organizers that can be used for each individual text structure, as well as examples of each type of text feature!
TIPS FOR PRINTING & ASSEMBLY: Since this product requires students to have several pages to make one flip book, I included two copies per page. DO NOT print this resource double sided! You will need to cut each page in half on the solid black line before distributing to students. They will then cut on the BOLD DOTTED LINES to cut out their pieces. To assemble, students will start by gluing down the last page; line up the next page with the black label strip of the bottom page, and put glue ONLY across the top back edge of the flip book page. Continue gluing this way until you have glued down all pages, ending with the title page of the flip book. See the preview for this product to view how the flip book should look when completed! :)
