Learning Objective

Using signal words or other clues from the text, students will read twenty nonfiction passages and identify the text structure used by the author.


This digital activity puts a fun spin on identifying nonfiction text structures! Students read 20 passages and determine the text structure of each one. They label each passage by moving the appropriate "stamp" to the bottom of each reading passage.

It is the digital version of my text structures craftivity.

The text structure options include:

The passages address four topics: butterflies, bacteria, basketball and apples.
