So that informational writing is completed. What next? A stack of random papers perched precariously on the edge of your desk that may or may not have followed directions? NO! Before your students turn in that final writing, have them verify that they have completed all that is required of a writing. This checklist forces them to address the requirements of an informational writing, so there is no confusion or any "I didn't know we had to do that" nonsense that comes with turning in a final writing. The checklist takes them through the sections of an informational writing -- research, introduction, conclusion, details/body, sentences, language, and grammar -- and requires that they have completed the required steps of revision. This tool can be used by itself or with additional revision tools.
