Teach the organization of text-based informative/explanatory essays with this product!
It is laid out in a "chunked" fashion so that you can go through the process step-by-step with examples, Cornell notes and interactive notebook activities all along the way.
This product contains:
★ TWO texts - one non-fiction text at a 7.1 reading level and one fiction text at a 5.6 reading level.
★ text mapping graphic organizer
★ an informative prompt based on the texts
★ "chunked" information that is recorded with Cornell notes
★ example paragraphs
★ interactive notebook activities for the introduction, body, and conclusion paragraphs

In my classroom, I worked on the prompt and texts on the first two days with the text map, then worked with the introduction on the next day, the body on the fourth day and the conclusion on the fifth day.
