Use this writing map for ANY informative/explanatory essay. This graphic organizer allows students to thoroughly plan out and organize their essays, including:

-A space to write down the audience and purpose for the essay before writing;
-A hook, background, and thesis statement for the introduction paragraph;
-A topic sentence and at least 3 supporting details/facts/evidence for each body paragraph; and
-A conclusion to restate main ideas and facts.
