Classroom Infraction Notice is a way to give a student a warning while you keep teaching. Is a student’s behavior inappropriate, but not enough to get sent out of class? Is “the look” not enough of a warning? Just place the CLASSROOM INFRACTION NOTICE on their desk and continue with what you were doing.
I have included two different versions. One version requires the adult to write down the rule that was broken. I have my rules posted with numbers next to them. I usually just write the rule number in order to save time during class. This version definitely requires a discussion at the end of class.
The second version has the students completely take ownership. I have received some interesting ideas from the last question. Sometimes the students know what will work for them that I haven’t thought about. With this version, at the end of class, I usually just check to see that thoughtful answers were provided.
