Product Description
This lesson explains the phonological deviancy pattern of Initial Consonant Deletion (FCD). It explains, demonstrates, and provides practice items on how to determine if a word should have an initial sound" (i.e., consonant) versus not. Finger movements are incorporated to provide kinesthetic feedback as well as interactive slides for students to identify and create words correctly overcoming the ICD pattern. This lesson is written for Kindergarten/Early Elementary with a latter section aimed for students that are reading. This lesson is very concrete, multisensory, and explains/uses one of my tricks for helping children overcome ICD.
