Work on initial sounds and phonics to build reading and spelling skills. Students fill in the initial letter of words with corresponding real pictures. Non-writer and writer friendly!
I also use the pictures to build receptive and expressive language skills in a small group setting. We sit down with the pictures and I ask various questions.
Find the apple.
What animal roars?
What rhymes with wig.
Find the instrument.
What comes after the letter O?
Point to the letter R.
Thanks and please enjoy!
