Initial Short Vowel Game-African Safari
This product was created to give your students additional practice with identifying and distinguishing between all the short vowel sounds at the beginning of a word.
This product would complement any word study program, like Words Their Way and can be used in a word work center, literacy center or follow up to your instruction.
To assemble the game, print out game directions and game board and attach to a file folder and laminate. There are four different game pieces that can be printed on white cardstock and laminated. By attaching a binder clip, you have game pieces that can stand up and move around the board.
To print the game cards, use the digital paper included and print those so that the zebra print is on the back of the cards. Laminate and cut out. The cards are numbered so that you can easily identify which are missing and this also corresponds to the answer key in case your kids don’t know what a picture is.
To store all the pieces and game board I would use a gallon storage bag.
