Do you have a child who's ready to learn his sounds but not sure where to start? Here's a PDF of initial sound booklets that are super easy to assemble.
There are 26 4-page booklets and all you need are 26 sheets of cardstock, color printer, and a long or swivel stapler. Each booklet contains 5 high resolution realistic images. All initial sounds are phonetic, so no giraffe or ice-cream here. The only exception is X, where we still used X-ray but also box and ax. Front cover page has vowels in blue and consonants in red and the back cover has a dashed cursive letter for tracing/handwriting practice.
To assemble, print front to back (if you have a duplex capable printer, use that option. Otherwise print all even pages first, reorder and print all odd on the back). Fold your sheet in half, cut in half. You should now have 2 folded in half pages. Insert one into another to make a 4 page booklet, staple together.
