This document includes all 26 letters of the alphabet and focuses on the initial (first) sound to strengthen students' sound-letter correspondence, knowledge, and application.
This is also part of my Early Primary Phonics Superpack
I use this to support my reading and writing program based on my assessments and observations from: running records, reading assessments, Words Their Way, Sound Skills, and alphabet screeners. If you use Jolly Phonics, it may connect with that phonics learning.
How I use them in my classroom:
1. label take-out cups with letters, students sort pictures into the cups
2. cut out and laminate pictures, affix a magnet, and have sound/letter sorts on a chalkboard or whiteboard as a literacy center
3. cut out pictures (and letter title) and have students sort them and glue them down into their phonics booklets (as an extension, students can try to write the words and/or look them up in a dictionary!)
* There are a couple letters that do not have "a full set of 6" pictures to go with them - for example, X and Z. I have done my best to ensure the pictures are as understandable to the primary learner as possible.
