Here's a fun hands-on way to practice input and output tables. Students can work with 16 sets of problems using the work mats and a recording sheet.
Laminate the work mats and the cards.. Each
set of cards has its own symbol, so you’ll want
to keep them separated. The symbols are
helpful if you print in black and white.
This activity includes:
8 multiplication rules
8 division rules
Each problem contains several ? cards. These cards can be used for students to solve the ? spaces when working with a teacher or a partner.
Below grade level students may benefit if the teacher places the cards while leaving several blank. Students at and above grade level should be able to work on a blank mat and correctly place all cards.
An answer key is not provided. I like to print a copy of the cards and keep the pages to use as an answer key. Student s could use a calculator to check their work.
The cards used for the rule box are smaller than The regular cards.
