This interactive lesson provides students with a hands-on activity to review Input and Output Boxes.
This lesson includes an Input and Output Box for each of the four operations. Students will construct each table to follow a specific rule/pattern and the rule/pattern will be hidden behind a flap. This interactive/foldable lesson will be sure to intrigue your students and will offer another approach rather than the traditional worksheet.
I have provided a template in which the students will color, cut and paste to a separate sheet of paper *or could be a great piece to add to a math journal!
This product includes:
- A procedures page, including the Common Core Standard, step-by-step directions, a photo example and a proficiency scale for students to reflect upon the lesson.
- A ‘Input and Output Box’ template
*This lesson is a part of an Interactive Math Journal that I use in my classroom but can be used as a single lesson as well. Check out my store for more interactive lessons!
