Look no further for a project outline that can work for any project in any subject area, and it is broken down by learner profile attributes. Don't worry, you don't have to be a PYP teacher to find this useful.
As a PYP teacher, I was always looking for ways to integrate the Learner Profile into my daily teaching. I also wanted to tap into my students' interests and wonder questions. This project outline is one I have used many times in many different ways including at the beginning of the year to get to know the strengths and interests of my students, as a way to structure research projects, or even as a way for individuals to show their participation in a group project.
This outline can be used for any topic big or small and provides a framework for research and reflection. Each section starts with one of the learner profile attributes and asks a question for students to answer. It is student friendly, but also challenges students to think and reflect about their learning. The outline is in pdf format.
I have also included a power point that will help to introduce the format of the project to students. It provides more explanation for each section of the outline pages. It is in pptx for convenience.
Finally, there is a rubric that is broken down into 4 developmental levels that addresses each of the learner profile attributes. This is also in pdf format.
