Insect Adaptations Activity

Description
This resource includes instructions, background information, and printable pages for an activity on insect adaptations. There are 3 example insects for each category, featuring a colorful original illustration: wings, mouthparts, and legs (9 insects total).
After printing out the images and title cards, the images can be mounted on a poster or trifold display board. Then, students can try to match up adaptations to the images.
This activity works well for outreach programs, summer camps, museum interactive displays, and classrooms. Associated lessons could include insect diversity, animal adaptations, and evolution.
Enjoy!
