Insect collections are a great way for your students to learn about these small creatures! In this project, students will collect and gather insects from 7 of the 8 most common insect orders. They will identify the insects and present them in a way that classifies them by order. It’s the perfect hands-on project!
Included in this product are…
1. Detailed student directions guiding them from step 1 to final product.
2. Check-in grade sheets – I found that, by scheduling “Check-in” days, I avoided having students begin their projects at the last minute and turn in projects that were thrown together. I used the sheets included to record how many insects students had collected and labeled at various intervals.
3. Rubric for easy grading. I made sure to give my students a copy of the rubric when I explained the project so they knew how the project would be graded.
This project is part of my Complete Insect Unit as well as part of my Arthropod Bundle.
Please read through my TOU for specifics on usage permissions. Your purchase gives you 1 user license, which is to be used with your own individual classroom.
