Already this school year I'm finding young unique learners who are ready to start tackling sight words. I created this file folder game with a insect theme using 10 of the words on the Dolch PrePrimer Sight Word List to get my little ones started. Each sight word is created using boxed letters to also help my unique learners start to see the individual letters that make up a whole world versus recognizing the whole word. I will use this game first in a guided learning situation and then move it to an independent learning center as children master the task. This game has a fun insect theme to coordinate with other themed products available in my shop.
Sight words included in this task are: can, to, three, little, jump, make, down, two, look, come.
This product is available along with 14 other Insect themed products in this bundle:Insect Theme Bundle: 15 Insect Themed Products for Children with Autism
Instructions for creating the matching task are included in the .zip file.
This memory game is perfect for use with many of my adapted books. My adapted books are created for use in pre-K, preschool, early childhood special education and child care classrooms. Want more adapted books in other themes? To see my inventory of adapted books, click here.
