Insects: Read, Write, Color and Draw introduces eleven different insects: ant, bee, ladybug, grasshopper, butterfly, praying mantis, cockroach, dragonfly, mosquito, fly and firefly, plus pages for the insects in general. Each of the pages can be used separately or can be put together into a My Insect Book for each student to read, write, color and illustrate. I have included a book cover if you should choose to use the pages in book form. For each insect, you will find three pages. The first page has a short paragraph about the insect. The print is gray and traceable so the students can trace and practice handwriting while they read about the insects. There is a box at the bottom of the page for the students to draw their own picture of the insect. The second page is a black line picture of the insect for the students to color. They can also add background to show the habitat. The third page includes an insect picture to color plus blank lines so the students can write their own sentences about the animal. I have also included two different blank writing pages, so students can draw their own pictures and write stories to go with their illustrations. Additionally, a ladybug shaped book is also included. It has a cover page, a lined writing page, a page with lines on half for writing and illustrating, a blank drawing page and one page for each insect. Use the pages that meet the needs of your particular students.
Thank you so much for purchasing Insects. I hope you have a buzzing good time with your little entomologists and they enjoy learning about insects with this product. Richi Reynolds @2014
