This product will guide your children as they research an insect of their choice. It contains pages they can use to take notes and write a final copy. These are all black and white. Students will shade a diagram of the continents to show where their insect lives. They must draw a diagram of the insect and label parts of its body. Children will fill in a diagram to show the life cycle of the insect. They will also include a glossary and bibliography.
Also included is a more basic form that could be used for differentiation. Students must write an introduction sentence, write six facts and draw six small pictures to go with the facts and write a conclusion sentence.
We made fingerprint bugs in a jar at the end of this unit using some directions by Ed Emberley. I have included a slide of the jar and samples of student work.
