Insects Word Search Puzzle - A fun insects activity. Grades 3-6

Students love word search puzzles.
Teachers love no prep resources.

This is a fun, yet challenging word search puzzle that you can use to keep early finishers busy, or as a handout in your science class.

It could be used for a variety of grades but will particularly interesting to Grades 3 to 6.

It contains over 20 vocabulary words including some common insects such as the bee, mosquito, horsefly, dragonfly, butterfly, caterpillar, cockroach and wasp.

I have left out the ladybug, but I'm curious to see how many students draw a ladybug in the box captioned "Draw your favorite insect."

There are so many insects in the world that perhaps a fun activity like this will inspire your students to learn more about the "bugs" that are all around us.
