A Power Point presentation that provides an image rich overview of Earth's geologic structure - from the surface crust (tectonic plates) to the inner core. It also includes information about the gaseous, liquid (water), rocky regions - the "spheres" of physical organization. A slide section introduces students to the all-important force field (magnetosphere) that protects all living things from dangerous cosmic radiation. The quantitative size (diameter and circumference) of Earth is shown as well as the relative size of our planet compared to the other planets and the Sun. This is the companion Power point that is used in conjunction with the lab of the same title.
