Product Description
This 9 page movie guide with handouts accompanies the film "Disney's Inside Out (2015)"

Part 1 – This is comprised of 23 long answer questions in chronological order. Students should ideally make notes on important events and the characters to help with the questions.

Part 2 (GROUP WORK) – This task is for groups of 5. Each student in the group will get one of the 5 emotion characters from the movie. They need to complete the worksheet which should take around 30-45 minutes.

Part 3 (GROUP WORK CONT) – Now the students have completed Part 2 they need to get into groups again but this time grouped into the same emotion. Each group will need to make a poster which will include:

• The picture drawn in part 2 from each person and their reason.
• A colorful title for their emotion (emotion color)
• The paragraph from each of the personality islands (The best ones chosen between the students in the group)
• Any vocabulary connected to that emotion
• Other decorations to make the poster presentable

Part 4 – Students to present their posters to the rest of the class

How can movies help students learn English?

Learning from movies is motivating and enjoyable
- Sometimes students need a change in style, and movies are generally an integral
part of a student's life.

Movies provides authentic and varied language
- It's always a good idea to introduce students examples of English in real
situations. This includes accents different to your own.

Movies gives a visual context
- This gives the student the ability to interpret the language in full visual context.
To see such visual supports as facial expressions and gestures simultaneously.

Variety and flexibility
- Movies can also act as a springboard for follow-up tasks such as discussions,
debates on social issues, role plays, reconstructing a dialogue or summarising.
