What educators are saying
Description
Engage students after reading any novel with this fun and creative Instagram-inspired activity! This activity works wonderfully as a sub-plan or as a way to check in with students' independent reading, project, or end-of-the-year book promotion!
Students will create an "Instagram post" related to the book they've read. They will choose to illustrate relevant symbols, a new book cover, or an important character for their post. Then, they'll connect the image to their reading with their caption, ending with a few relevant hashtags. They can even add their own creative twist to their profile picture, username, and more!
When students are finished, the final product makes a great bulletin board, a display for the books read during the year, or even as a visual way to promote books for next year's class.
