Invite students to create and design their own musical instruments demonstrating the properties of sound! This project includes instructions, a planning page, reflection questions and a rubric. In document format, you can customize the rubric and reflection questions to fit your own properties of sound unit.
To help develop scientific thinking and the scientific method as it relates to design and technology, space is given and questions are asked to help students think about refining their design. Encourage your students to learn how problems can lead us to discovering and developing new solutions!
I used this project with a 5/6 split class in Ontario as our final task in our properties of sound unit.
