Integer Exponents - A Power Point Lesson
Share

Description

This NO-PREP CCSS-aligned Power Point Lesson takes students through the mathematical reasoning behind the properties of integer exponents: multiplying the same base results in adding the exponents, dividing the same base results in subtracting the exponents, and a base with an exponent raised to a power results in the multiplication of exponents. It also goes into negative exponents and working with expressions that have multiple terms (different variables). This is perfect for introducing the properties or as a review.

Students MUST understand what exponents represent and also know that x/x = 1
