Help students practice solving integer operations in word problems. There are 23 total problems that have students add, subtract, multiply and divide positive and negative whole numbers. There are two versions of these task cards—one with a QR code and one without.
To use the cards, print and cut. Punch a hole through the circle and place a binder rings. Students can work in small group or stations to solve the problems. You can have several sets available for each group.
Print on cardstock and laminate for a longer lasting set of cards.
To use the QR code, students need a device with a QR code reader app downloaded on it. I like i-nigma but there are several free versions available.
I wanted to have students have several problems to work on for practice. You could chunk this assignment and give students a few problems at a time so it won’t be so overwhelming.
