PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

This lesson focuses around a “Book Box.” A book box is a box, or other pertaining container, that contains items related to a specific story or collection of stories. For instance, stories and related materials about golf might be in a golf bag. This idea is to engage students in a physical manner with the texts they are reading or about to read. It also helps to develop context and background knowledge (schema) to stories and is a way to engage students in predicting.

This lesson plan would work well to combine language, science, and vocabulary lessons around medical and health topics and words.
