This document contains rubrics for each communicative mode in the integrated performance assessment (IPA) process. These rubrics can be used in isolated performance assessments or in the entire IPA process. They have been developed to personally cater to the needs of teachers using the best characteristics both the ACTFL and Fairfax County to make these rubrics as user-friendly and dynamic as possible. The result is insightful feedback that both the teacher and the learner can use to support success in language learning.
The language used in the development in this rubric have been specifically selected to broadly and especially evaluate novice to intermediate learners however can be easily modified to evaluate advanced learners.
A conversion chart to make the raw score into a grade-book ready converted score is also included.
