PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Through this lesson, students will learn not only musical concepts such as, pitch and tempo, but will also learn which foods are healthier for the body than others. Remembering pitch is “high or low tones in a sound pattern”, and tempo is “how fast or slow music is played” (Cornett, 2011). This lesson combines music, no limits while using their imagination to experiment with sound, and meshes well with a health lesson that is extremely important for young children to understand.
Give each student a bag with different healthy food containers in it, and simply tell the students to use only their pencil if they must, and try to make different sounds or music out of what is in front of them. Encourage students to try and see how many different pitches they can create out of what is in front of them.
