This ppt explains the difference between intended benefits and uninteded consequences of technology. It also provides the instructions for a research project that the students will do after the presentation. The students must draw a topic from the list (I print the slide and cut into pieces), then create a Powerpoint or other presentation 3 slides in length, explaining their technology. The last two slides of the ppt. can be copied for the students. The final slide is the peer judging sheet. Each student will judge the other groups' presentations based on the rubric criteria. The presentation itself takes only about 15 minutes to explain, and the project can last the rest of an extended class or two class periods, with a day for presentations.
