This is a set of 52 interactive emergent readers.
There are 2 different books for each letter. Book 1 contains simple sentences with basic sight words and a predictable pattern. Book 2 is for more advanced readers with challenging sight words, multiple lines of text, and more advanced story plots.
The students will cut out the six pictures and correctly glue each one to the corresponding page. The pictures are provided with and without words to help differentiate. The same pictures are used for both books.
After students cut and paste the pictures in the book there are a variety of follow up activities including:
* Circling the correct uppercase and lowercase letters.
* Finding and highlighting the focus letter within the text.
* Handwriting practice for the focus letter.
*Reading the complete emergent reader to practice fluency.
The vowel books concentrate on initial short and long vowel sounds. The X book focuses on words that end with x and the Z book has the letter z in beginning and the middle position.
