This is a fully interactive Jeopardy game that I created as an end of unit review for my students. It covered the different formulas for area, perimeter and volume, as well as have them practice different questions. It is collaborative and team oriented by nature which I have found to be valuable for reviewing and supporting students who may not be grasping the concepts as well as their peers. Furthermore, it is offered in a powerpoint format so it is fully customizable allowing you to augment or adapt the questions to meet the needs of your own students and your final exam.
Relate volume to the operations of multiplication and addition and solve real world and mathematical problems involving volume.
Recognize volume as an attribute of solid figures and understand concepts of volume measurement.
Apply the area and perimeter formulas for rectangles in real world and mathematical problems. For example, find the width of a rectangular room given the area of the flooring and the length, by viewing the area formula as a multiplication equation with an unknown factor.
Solve real world and mathematical problems involving perimeters of polygons, including finding the perimeter given the side lengths, finding an unknown side length, and exhibiting rectangles with the same perimeter and different areas or with the same area and different perimeters.
