This interactive resource focuses on biomes and their landforms. I wanted to create something that was perfect for centers and could be cross-curricular. Let's face it...there's only so many hours to work with our kids and usually science and social studies are the subjects that get pushed off if we run out of time.
I like incorporating reading, writing, oral presentation, and math when I do social studies or science subjects. (I am already working on an accompany pack that is solely focused on animals who live in these biomes so be sure to check back!) I listed everything inside this resource but be sure to check out the preview! There are no wasted pages...144 pages that you can print and USE!
Pages 3-27 BIOME PROFILE CARD & POSTER (Great for bulletin boards and student journals.)
Pages 28-39 MATCH LANDFORM TO BIOME (Given a biome, your students will cut and paste the landforms found in that region. There are differentiated pages with landforms labeled and not labeled.)
Pages 40-42 MATCH IT UP (Given 2 biomes, your students will place the appropriate biome characteristic in each box.)
Pages 43-76 FACT SHEETS (For each biome and landform your students will write 3 facts they learned and color the picture.)
Pages 77 WHAT’S DIFFERENT (Students will color and find the differences between 2 pictures.)
Pages 78-80 WHERE’S HOME (Help discover where animals live by crossing out words that don’t belong.)
Pages 81-82 BIOME BINGO (2 different versions to use in centers or as a review!)
Pages 83 HIDDEN MESSAGE (Have your students discover the hidden message by holding up their paper to a mirror.)
Pages 84 GRAPH A BIOME (Practice graphing by identifying where each landform or biome is located.)
Pages 85-100 GAME CARDS (The possibilities are endless! Go Fish, Concentration, Matching, etc. In both color and B/W your kiddos can practice identifying biomes and landforms.)
Pages 101-126 ANIMAL BIOME CARDS (Your students can match up the animals in a number of ways. Print, laminate, and cut up the puzzle pieces to have your students match the animal to its home. Or have the puzzle pieces attached and use a dry erase marker or clothespin the mark where the animal lives.
Pages 127-137 MATH PAGES (Your students can practice different math skills while demonstrating their knowledge of biomes and animals.)
Pages 138-140 BIOME REPORT (Your students can choose a biome to write about.)
Pages 141-145 BIOME MINI QUIZZES (A great way to get a quick assessment.)
