Product Description
There is a lot of depth to Thirteen Ways of Looking at a Blackbird, by Wallace Stevens, and secondary students are usually stymied by the poem when they first encounter it. Teachers who spend some time with the poem in their classes will find a lot of discussion is possible. We developed this collateral Windows PC program which may be used as an introduction to the poem. It won?t solve any of the mysteries in the work, but it will give students something to think about and focus on as they read through the stanzas. We recommend that you have each student take turns at the computer (or if you are lucky enough to have a lab available, sit them all down at once), and have them go through the questions built into the program. Includes a web lesson plan for the poem. Baggetta
